What each tier actually includes

Essential — single function

One function covered properly. Two photographers rather than one, because a single photographer cannot shoot the ritual and the family reactions at the same moment and we would rather not pretend otherwise. You get 300 to 500 edited photographs, an online gallery, and delivery in 21 days.

This suits a standalone engagement, a haldi, or a reception where photography is a record rather than the centrepiece. There is no film at this tier.

Photo + Film — the working majority

Roughly seven in ten of our weddings sit here. Muhurtham and reception covered, two photographers plus a cinematographer, 600 to 1,000 edited photographs, a 5 to 8 minute cinematic film, a 20 to 40 minute feature cut, a teaser inside 72 hours, a printed album, and everything graded to one consistent look. Delivered in 30 days, written into the agreement.

Complete Production

All functions across multiple days, full photo and film crew, drone, 360 booth, same-day edit played at the reception, feature-length film, and event production bundled in at reduced rates. This is the version where you stop hiring vendors and hand over the whole production.

What actually moves the number

Rather than publish a figure that will be wrong for your wedding, here is what we are calculating when we quote. If you want to spend less, these are the levers.

Factor	Why it changes the quote
Number of functions	Each function is a separate crew call, a separate set of edits and a separate day. This is the single biggest lever.
Crew size per function	A haldi needs two mobile photographers. A 600-guest reception needs three so the stage queue never stalls. We size each function rather than applying one number across the day.
Whether film is included	A cinematic film roughly doubles the post-production hours. It is the difference between a record and something you rewatch.
Pre-dawn muhurtham	A 5 am ceremony needs a larger crew, lighting set in darkness and a three-hour earlier call time.
Travel	Chennai, Chengalpattu, Tiruvallur and Kanchipuram carry no travel charge. Other districts carry a visible travel and stay line.
Event production added	DJ, drone, LED, decor, sparklers and booths each add cost — but three or more together costs meaningfully less than hiring the same vendors separately.
Season	November to February is peak and books out early. Aadi and Maargazhi have very few weddings and we have far more room to move.

Event management, hosting and production, quoted alongside

All of these are our own team and our own equipment, run out of Saligramam. Nothing here is sub-hired, which is the point — the crew who light your stage answer to the same people as the crew who photograph it. Each service is available standalone, and each is simpler alongside a photography package because we are already at your venue with a crew, a van and a site recce behind us.

• Drone coverage — licensed operators, airspace permissions checked before we quote
• LED wall & VFX — live ceremony feed, entry VFX, same-day edits
• Stage decoration — designed against the camera plan so the stage photographs as well as it looks
• Machine cold sparkler — indoor-safe cold pyro, cued on one channel with the DJ and cameras
• 360 cam booth — slow-motion video sent to guests on WhatsApp before they leave
• Gifting solutions — return gifts and personalised mementos, sourced and packed

Take three or more together and the saving is structural rather than a discount: one van instead of six, one site recce instead of six, one crew call. We have written up how that arithmetic works here.

What is included as standard

Some studios in Chennai charge separately for these. We do not, and we think charging for several of them in 2026 is not a real line item.

• 4K delivery and full colour grading across stills and film
• The teaser reel, usually inside 72 hours
• Your online gallery, shareable with family
• Backup equipment on every booking, including a second printer at the magnet booth
• The pre-production planning conversation — your ritual order, muhurtham timing, venue layout and family group list
• Two revision rounds on your film
• Full delivery within 30 days of your last function, as a clause in the agreement rather than a promise on a website

What is quoted separately

These are real additional costs and they appear as visible lines on your quote, never as a surprise afterwards.

• Additional functions beyond those in your package
• Extra photographer or cinematographer — usually the best-value upgrade available
• Pre-wedding shoot, including any location permissions
• Same-day edit, where an editor works on site through your function
• Additional albums, and spreads beyond the included page count
• Raw files on a drive — we recommend taking them; studios close and drives fail
• Outstation travel and accommodation
• A third revision round

Payment, dates and cancellation

Advance: 30 per cent to hold your date, balance staged across the functions and final delivery. We do not ask for the full amount before you have seen anything, and you should be wary of anyone who does.

Holding a date: a date is held on a signed quote and the advance. Until both are in, it is open — but we will always call you before releasing a date somebody else is asking about.

Postponement: we transfer the advance to a new date, subject to availability.

Cancellation: the advance covers the date we turned other work away for, so it is non-refundable. Everything paid beyond it is returned.

GST is charged at the applicable rate and shown separately. Quotes state whether the figure is inclusive.

How to budget for this

A reasonable rule in Chennai: photography and film together should be somewhere between 8 and 12 per cent of your total wedding spend. Below about 6 per cent you are usually buying a record rather than something you will frame. Much above 15 per cent, unless photography genuinely is your priority, the money does more good elsewhere — and we will tell you that on the phone rather than sell you up.

Two ways to spend less without losing much. Book off-peak, because Aadi and Maargazhi have very few weddings and we have room to move. And drop a function rather than dropping crew size — covering two functions properly beats covering four thinly, every time.
