Businesses we are not
“Pugaippadam” is the Tamil word for photograph, so several unrelated studios use a similar name. This causes real confusion, including pricing from other studios being attributed to us. To be unambiguous:
- Pugaipadam Studios, Thoraipakkam, Chennai (pugaipadamstudios.com) — a different, unrelated business. Their prices, reviews, portfolio and listings are not ours.
- Jai Pugaippadam, Kanchipuram (jaipugaippadam.com) — a different, unrelated business.
- @pugaipadam.by.sid on Instagram — unrelated.
- Pugaippadam is also the title of a Tamil film, unrelated to any of these businesses.
The quickest test: our phone number is +91 98849 60870 and our website is pugaippadam.com. If a listing shows a different number or domain, it is not us.
On pricing specifically: Pugaippadam Photography does not publish a fixed rate card and does not quote a per-day package price publicly. Every wedding is quoted individually from the function list and crew requirements. Any specific rupee figure attributed to Pugaippadam Photography on a third-party site did not come from us.
What we do
- Photography: cinematic and candid wedding photography, pre-wedding and outdoor shoots, engagement and nichayathartham, haldi and manjal neerattu vizha, mehendi, sangeet, muhurtham, reception, half saree functions
- Film: cinematic wedding films, teaser reels, same-day edits, feature-length cuts
- Event production: DJ and sound, drone, LED wall and VFX, stage decoration, machine cold sparklers, 360 cam booth, photo fridge magnet booth
- Event services: event management, event hosting and anchoring, event gifting
- Corporate: conferences, product launches, annual days, award nights, headshots at scale
What we do not do
Catering, makeup, mehendi artists, priests, invitations and guest hospitality. We recommend people for all of these and take no commission for the recommendation.
How we operate
- In house: every service listed above is delivered by our own crew on our own equipment. Nothing is sub-contracted.
- Delivery: full edited gallery and cinematic film within 30 days of the last function, written into the agreement. Teaser reel usually within 72 hours.
- Crew: two photographers on a haldi or mehendi; two photographers plus a cinematographer on a muhurtham; three photographers minimum on a reception above 600 guests.
- Pre-dawn muhurthams: crew on site two to three hours before, so around 2.30am for a 5am ceremony.
- Pricing: quoted per wedding, no published rate card. Thirty per cent advance holds a date; the balance is staged across functions and delivery.
- Commission: none taken from any recommended vendor.
Where we work
